About Me

I am a Tasmanian painter based on tommeginne country in the island’s northwest. My practice is grounded in this place, in its tides, textures, and quiet changes. Working through a research led approach, I return to open questions that feel ancient and unresolved: what is the ocean, how is the sky, and what are the threads that bind us to each other and the world around us.

My Artistic Journey

I grew up in northern India as a missionary kid, moving between cultures and ways of seeing. This early experience continues to shape my practice, informing an ongoing exploration of the relationship between people and place, and how cultural and environmental contexts intersect.

My family has a farm in northern Tasmania, and after finishing high school I returned to Australia to study. I completed a Diploma in Illustration at NMIT, followed by a Bachelor of Creative Arts at Deakin University, and Honours at the University of Tasmania in 2020.

The COVID years brought me back to the farm, and the place has held me since. I now live on the northwest coastline, where there are still spaces that allow you to feel small within the world. I work from my home studio.
